Abstract

ABSTRACT Familial adenomatous polyposis is an autosomal dominant syndromic polyposis characterized by the presence of hundreds to thousands of adenomatous polyps along the digestive tract and which, if not treated, predisposes to colorectal cancer in 100% of cases.
